Degustation dining was only for aristocracy in day's gone by.

The challenge today for chefs is to design an evening filling menu with matching wines where the actual dining is the highlight of the evening.

All dishes are created and prepared according to a century's old classic menu schedule.

The sequence of the courses, and method of preparation are balanced in such a way that one will be satisfied without overdoing.

The new Zealand wines for the Degustation menu are outstanding on their own but heavenly combined with this Haute Cuisine

Fantail's country lodge's ambiance with log fire, candlelit tables and live music during this 'Menu Degustation' will be a celebration in its purest form.

Degustation menu including all wine and live musics are $125.00 per person. Numbers are limited.

This Degustation menu is held from April till October on each last Saturday of the month.
