Chapeau’ is a French term signifying a hat or other materials covering the head used as a mark of ecclesiastical dignity.

The term ‘Chapeau!’, is used in France as a highly recognised generic form of approval and appreciation. To show this; “one shall indeed remove his hat”.

As our foundations are from French cuisine and service, we add this touch of nostalgia, by naming our restaurant and bar services ‘The Chapeau’ .

We exclusively endorse local produce which now is becoming fashionable globally.

Fantail Lodge's new home grown 'Herbal Mint Tea Selection' is now avalible for restaraunt and in house guests .

Our restaurant proudly specialises in fresh local cuisine, produce and wines.

Fantail Lodge’s restaurant ‘ The Chapeau’ provides various meal options for up to 100 house guests and locals alike. Room service is available in some of the rooms if required.

Most produce is estate grown while the renowned Morton Estate winery, among other local wine producers provide a range of award winning wines.

Indulge your welcome by having a bottle of wine/Champenoise waiting on arrival as our facilities are fully licensed.

The Chapeau ‘s style is smart casual and highly recommends the chefs daily creations.
